Happy Monday, Oppo.
One of my favorites for this morning, the Sud Caravelle SE 210, shown here sporting a French Air Force livery. Taking its maiden flight on May 27, 1955, the Caravelle was the first medium- to short-range jet powered airliner, and one that flew widely in Europe and also made inroads into the American market. The nose was a licensed copy of the de Havilland Comet, and the twin-engine design was extremely influential in the development of similar airliners including the DC-9.
